Our Child Safety Barrier provides excellent protection for young Children, particularly those under 5. These grills have been specially designed to comply with the guidance specified in Part K2 of the Building Regulations 2000 as read with BS6180:1999.

THE PROBLEM
We protect our children in the home or nursery in very many ways using stairgates, safety harnesses and cot sides. Until now though, open windows and small children were an accident waiting to happen.

THE SOLUTION
An adjustable barrier with fixing arms on each corner that slot into brackets fitted into angled side fixing bars.
Top corners are fitted with child resistant keyless camlocks, with both locks having to be released in order for the barrier to be removed.
Minimum height is 890 mm. Width minimum 200 mm, max 1600 mms.

Specification

Height of the barrier is 800 mms. Infill bars are vertical to prevent a child climbing them. The spacing between the bars is a maximum of 65 mms.

Manufactured from Steel, powder coated White. Other colours available to special order.

Fire Safety has to be considered and complied with, hence the barrier is fitted with child resistant keyless locks so it can be quickly and easily removed in an emergency.

The barrier has been designed to comply with the guidance specified in Part K2 of the Building Regulations 2000 as read with BS6180:1999.

Requirements in part B1 of the Building Regulations concerning Fire Safety have been addressed. The keyless locks comply with BSEN 1930:2000. The bar spacing complies with BSEN 1930:2000.

Risk assessment was carried out by RoSPA in order to ensure that the barrier is suitable for the safety of children and have declared this to be a “safe product”. The barrier has been tested by a UKAS accredited laboratory who have confirmed that it complies with the force levels specified in BS6399-1; 1996.
