PERCENTAGE VISION - the Shutters below are listed in order of “Percentage Vision” starting with the highest being the RA9 at 69% going down to the lowest, the RA4 Perforated at only 18% vision.

PRICE - the prices below are Guide Prices only and are not listed in any Price Order. These prices are based upon a Shutter with an overall size of 1000 mms wide x 2000 mms high. Please Note: the prices may vary for each product on larger sizes. Please ring us for a quotation for your particular size of opening.

ALUMINIUM or STEEL – we have both types, but generally Aluminium is stronger than Steel. A more detailed explanation is given at the end of this page.

SECURITY LEVEL – to help you obtain the right product for your particular risk, we have graded our shutters
from Low Security (in red) up to High Security (in green) – with the latter being LPS 1175 Level 1 accredited products, being both Secured by Design and Insurance Approved. So you know that they meet a national standard. Look out for the Police Secured by Design Logo against the products that are accredited.

1. ELECTRIC PRICES – WHAT IS INCLUDED
The prices quoted above include a Toggle Switch to operate each of the above shutters. Many control operations are available that we can tailor to each individual customer’s requirements. Either email us with how you want to operate them or simply ring us to discuss, so that we can come up with options that we feel would be suitable together with relevant costings, to enable you to finalise the system that will suit your needs.

2. THE THREE TYPES OF ROLLER SHUTTER OPERATION
Our shutters generally are available with one of THREE types of operation, which are illustrated below. The exception to this is our RA4 – which is accredited to LPS1175 Level 1 and is Insurance Approved and a Secured by Design Security Shutter but can only be used as an Electric Shutter.

3. STEEL vs ALUMINIUM ROLLER SHUTTERS
Steel shutters use rolled steel and are the cheapest and least secure of Roller Shutters available today. Steel Roller Shutters being pre-galvanised do not accept powder coating easily, hence the coating is not long lasting. Using 75 mm laths for the lowest cost, the average size of curtain box is 300 mms square.
Aluminium Security Shutters on the other hand, being extruded through formers rather than rolled flat material, can be made with reinforced sections making them stronger than Steel. Powder coating adheres well to Aluminium and so looks good for many years. Using a 40 mm lath, the average size of curtain box is 205 mms square, with the smallest box being 137 mms.
