An attractive evergreen shrub, with thorny branches
which will grow to around 4 meters but can easily be pruned down.
These are grown for their hawthorn like flowers in the spring
followed by brilliantly coloured berries in the autumn, which last
throughout the winter.
Plant in fertile well drained soil in either full
sun or partial shade. Can be grown as free standing
plants but are best given the backing or support of a fence or wall.

WHAT WE WILL DELIVER We can deliver these plants throughout the year in
2 – 3 Litre Pots. The plants themselves will be approximately 30 –
40 cms.
HOW SHOULD I PLANT
Plant in fertile, moist but well drained soil. Make
sure that the plant is not dry before planting . The use of
Multi-Purpose Compost when planting would certainly be beneficial in
its growth.
MAINTENANCE REQUIRED To maximise flowers and berries, as well as achieve
the fastest growth, regularly tie back growth to form the shape you
are looking for. Pruning or trimming back can remove next years
flowers and berries. Alternatively just let it grow as a free
standing plant. Best if given the backing or support of a fence or
wall.
